How It Started, And The Future
It’s no secret, we sell stuff that we would love to buy, in fact that’s how it all started. When buying from abroad, the postage is often more expensive than the product, so a group of us would buy together to make it worth while. Every now and again we would get a couple more items “for luck” which we put on eBay, eventually BlueCyborg.com was born.
We’re now at the point where we’re starting to make our own stuff, over the last few months we’ve been playing with wax, poly clay, soap, vinyl, and resin. We’re pretty clear about some of the things we’re going to be making and selling in the store, mainly due to the fact we want geeky and retro charms around our necks, and we thought it would be good to hear what you guys would like.
If there’s anything you can think of that you would like us to make, we would love to hear from you, if it’s something we think we can make, we will. If you have a great idea, which we think will sell well, we’ll even do it for you at a fraction of what we would be looking to sell it in the store as a thanks for finding something great.
Over 160 New Designs Added
We’ve just added over 160 new designs of navel and tongue bars including hearts, bunnys, stars and skulls.
Our stock system is pretty good, so if you see something you like on our shop, and it’s not marked as sold out, then it’s in stock and can be through your door in a couple of days at most.
In most cases we only stock one or two of each design, so if you spot one you like grab it quick before someone else does.
Checkout Bug Fixed
When adding new features to our site we failed to notice a bug which resulted in the checkout not showing you what you have ordered or how much we will be charging you, although this didn’t put everyone off completing the cart, and orders have still come to us without problems, it has understandably put a number of people off completing the checkout process.
We would like to apologise to everyone who has experienced problems, we know how fustrating it is to pick out items you want and then not be able to get them!
We have now rectified the problem and service will resume as normal.
Improved Product Photography
When we added our range of body jewellery our photos were, well pretty rubbish, customers looking through our jewellery catalogue must have found it impossible to imagine what the products will look like if they ordered.
A professional photographer was somewhat out of the question due to our prices being as low as possible. Fortunately after a bit of research, the interweb showed us how to get the most out of our camera and with a bit of trial, error and tinkering, we’ve come up with some much better photos which give you a much better idea of what our jewellery looks like in the flesh (pardon the pun).
