On Sunday 16th August, BGCP Comic Con is heading to Stranraer for the very first time, taking over the Ryan Centre, and I’ll be there with BlueCyborg.
I always enjoy it when a well-organised comic con arrives somewhere new. There’s something genuinely different about meeting people who haven’t been to dozens of these events before.
You get that moment when someone walks into a comic con for the first time and suddenly discovers a whole hall full of things they didn’t know existed. The costumes, the traders, the games, the props, and hopefully at least a few things on my stand that make them stop and go, “Wait... what’s that?”
That little sparkle of wonder and genuine excitement is something that can sometimes get lost at the huge, established shows where people have already been there, done that and know exactly what to expect.
So I’m really looking forward to seeing what Stranraer makes of its first BGCP Comic Con.
I’ll be bringing a big selection of BlueCyborg tabletop goodies, dice, miniatures, accessories and assorted strange things worth investigating.
