Tentacritical Dice Holders: Hand-Painted One-of-a-Kind Cephalopod Dice Guardians for Your Tabletop RPG Collection

Not every product starts at the sketchbook.

The Tentacritical Dice Holders are started life as a sculpt from STLFlix, a brilliant, characterful cephalopod design that immediately felt like it deserved more than a single colour filament straight off the printer. Plenty of people can do that. That’s not what I’m about.

What turns each of our Tentacritical Dice Holders into something special happens after the print comes off the bed. Every single one is hand painted from start to finish, layered, shaded, highlighted and pushed until it has its own personality.

There’s no production line. No factory finish. No colour-by-numbers system.

Just brushes, paint, and a lot of experimentation.

One Off Means One Off

I don’t keep paint recipes.
I don’t catalogue exact mixes.
I don’t document ratios.

Partly because I’m usually halfway through a glaze when I decide to try something different. Partly because some of the best finishes come from small, accidental decisions, a highlight pushed a little brighter, a wash left to pool a little longer, a colour shift that wasn’t planned.

The result?

Every Tentacritical is genuinely one of one.

Not “limited run.”
Not “same sculpt, different colour.”

A properly unique finish that won’t be repeated, even if I tried.

Designed to Hold a Full Polyhedral Set

The sculpt is built to cradle a full RPG dice set across its tentacles

D20, D12, D10, D8, D6, D4 and percentile.

It works as a functional display piece between sessions and a dramatic centrepiece on the table mid-game. It has weight, presence, and just enough attitude to look mildly disappointed in your last roll.

They don’t just hold dice.

They guard them.

Available Online & On the Stall

Like most things I make, Tentacriticals will appear online and travel with me to events throughout the year.

Some will make it to conventions.
Some won’t leave the workshop before they’re claimed.

If one catches your eye, assume that’s your only chance at that exact finish.

Because it is.
