The Dice Shelf Has Got a Bit of a Buff

The Dice Shelf Has Got a Bit of a Buff

I’ve added a lot of dice to the shop this week. Enough that going through every set individually would turn this into a stock list, and nobody needs that.

There is quite a spread this time: new solid metal sets, liquid cores, hollow dice, spinners, some decidedly odd shapes and a few older designs that have come back into stock.

The metal ones have become considerably less normal

Prismatic Payload is probably the easiest example. It’s a £35 metal RPG set where the dice are sculpted as different pieces of fantastical ordnance rather than straightforward polyhedrals.

Bloodgilt Flail goes in a similarly impractical-looking direction, with raised spikes, a dark finish, red splatter detailing and gold numbers. Copperbound Relic is chunkier and more battered-looking, with textured dark faces inside an antique-bronze coloured frame.

There are more conventional shapes too. Circuit Blaze and Circuit Arc use the same panelled design in two very different finishes, while Verdant Dragon Soul, Dreadtide Kraken and the new dragon-eye sets lean much harder into fantasy detailing.

There are quite a few new liquid cores

Kitty Sparkles red and blue liquid core resin dice

The liquid-core section has grown as well. Kitty Sparkles mixes red and blue resin with cat details, while Dragon King Amber Eye uses clear amber-tinted resin with orange eye centres.

Violet Aberration is much darker, with smoky black centres and purple creature artwork. Dragon Eye Emberglow brings in green and gold eye cores, and Dragon Eye Black Fire has also returned to the new-stock list.

These sets are currently £25 each.

Hollow dice still manage to look slightly impossible

Froststeel Fractured Ore Dragon hollow metal dice set

Froststeel Fractured Ore Dragon has a silver-and-blue open metal design with sculpted dragons and jagged edges. Prismflight Quiver’s Quest takes the same broad hollow-dice idea in a much brighter rainbow finish.

Rainbow Seeds of Destiny has also come back into stock, so there are a few different hollow styles available again rather than one lonely set sitting in the category.

And then there are the spinners

The metal dice spinners are back in the mix too. Hands of Fate, Pactwheel, Pyreborn Dial and Ancient Steampunk are all £25.

They sit somewhere between dice, tabletop accessory, desk toy and something you will inevitably keep spinning while somebody else is trying to take their turn.

There is also a 48mm metal D100

This one does not need much explaining. The 48mm Metal D100 is a large anodized-rainbow metal D100. It’s £25 and is considerably larger than the normal dice sitting around it.

Some older favourites are back as well

Dragon Eye Orchid Green moving-eye liquid core dice set

The delivery wasn’t entirely new designs. Dragon Eye Orchid Green is back, along with Bloodlash Flail, Crimson Iron Wyrm, Prismatic Shadow Endless Ribbon and several of the floral metal sets including Gilded Lotus, Emerald Lotus, Midnight Pink Flower and Red & White Flower.

Rather than trying to squeeze all 35 new and returning dice into one post, they’re all together in the Dice collection.
