Two Thin Coats Wave 3 Incoming!

The highly anticipated Two Thin Coats Wave 3 from from Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy and Trans Atlantis Games is on on the way!

 Two Thin Coats Wave 3 builds on the high-quality formulas of Waves 1 and 2, mixing a high pigment count with a smooth base to give miniatures an amazing finish.

This wave brings 12 new Triads of 36 paints, 6 more fan-favourite Brights, 12 additional metallics—including uniquely coloured metallics—4 more washes, and 2 new effect paints. Each paint also includes a stainless steel mixing ball.

The core of this wave is 36 new paints in 12 triads. For those unfamiliar with the Triad painting system, colours are arranged in groups of three: a shadow, midtone, and highlight. This arrangement ensures models have rich, deep colours.

This wave introduces more orangey reds, a military yellow triad, a putrid green triad for undead minions, deep purples, sky blues, and a new leather triad.

The wave also includes 6 more extremely pigmented, bright new colours: a new pink, skin tone, icy-blue, yellow-green, teal, and yellow-orange, perfect for vibrant highlights and magical weapons.

Using a special proprietary metallic medium, 12 fantastic new metallic paints have been added. These include new hues of standard metallic colours like Silver, Gold, Iron, and Brass, and uniquely coloured metallics perfect for vehicles or robots.

This wave also features 6 more traditionally coloured metallics, expanding the triads from waves 1 and 2 and including colours for older, weathered metals.

Additionally, there are 4 beautiful new washes: Smoke Grey Wash for subtle grey tones, Hazard Yellow Wash for bright recesses, Aztec Turquoise Wash for scaly details, and Bone Wash for instantly shaded skeletons, mummies, and teeth.

Finally, two new effect paints are introduced: Matt Varnish for a matte finish and Gloss Varnish for a shiny finish on cockpits, windows, or jewelled staffs.
