In just 7 days we’ll be heading to the NEC in Birmingham for UK Games Expo!
Which would feel much more reasonable if we weren’t also currently in the middle of trading at MCM London Comic Con.
Convention season is a perfectly sensible business model and definitely not powered entirely by caffeine and increasingly optimistic checklists.
You’ll be able to find BlueCyborg at stand 4-112 on BlueCyborg Avenue, where we’ll once again be transforming a patch of convention hall floor into a travelling tabletop treasure hoard.
The Convention Spiral Continues
UKGE is always one of the biggest and most exciting events of the year for us.
It’s massive, busy, loud, exhausting, and absolutely packed with tabletop gamers, RPG players, painters, dice goblins, miniature collectors, and people discovering new hobbies for the first time.
Naturally, this means we’ve been preparing for it for months.
Unfortunately, “preparing for it for months” still somehow turns into:
- Last-minute stock arrivals
- Repacking half the van
- Rebuilding displays
- Discovering a vital cable in the wrong box
- Rewriting lists that already existed on other lists
The traditional convention experience.
What We’re Bringing
We’re planning to bring a huge selection of stock to UK Games Expo, including:
- Dice and accessories
- TTRPG gear
- Dice towers and display pieces
- Hand-painted one-offs
- Cosplay ID cards
- Hobby tools and accessories
- Convention exclusives
- New experiments and weird ideas that seemed fun at 2am while prepping stock
As always, we’re trying to balance returning favourites with new things we’ve never brought to UKGE before.
Why We Love UKGE
UK Games Expo has always felt a little special because it’s such a concentrated gathering of hobby enthusiasm.
You can spend five minutes talking about painting techniques, discover a new RPG system around the corner, accidentally buy more dice than any human realistically needs, and then immediately find yourself discussing obscure board game mechanics with complete strangers.
It’s chaos, but it’s the good kind.
Events like UKGE are also a huge part of what makes BlueCyborg what it is. We started as hobbyists first, traders second, and conventions are still the best place for us to meet people who genuinely love this stuff as much as we do.
Come Find Us
If you’re heading to UK Games Expo, come say hello at stand 4-112 on BlueCyborg Avenue.
Whether you’re after dice, gifts, gaming accessories, tabletop terrain, cosplay props, or just want to browse strange and interesting things while escaping the crowds for a few minutes, we’d love to see you.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, we’ve got MCM London to survive first, then somehow unpack, repack, prep for UK Games Expo, and work out whether sleep is actually necessary or merely recommended.
