What a Weekend: UKGE 2024
Share
Last weekend marked our return to the UK Games Expo, building on the success of our previous year. With a larger space booked, we aimed to display a wide variety of our products for attendees to see.
Leaving Scotland early Thursday morning, I headed to the NEC with the goal of maximizing setup time. Working solo meant that by 9pm, the stall wasn’t quite ready. I took some photos to plan for the next day, then headed to the hotel to rest and strategize for the morning.
By 7am the next day, I was back at the show, and by the opening at 9am, the stall was fully set up, taking a total of 10 hours. It was a new layout I hadn’t tried before, and I was pleased with the final presentation.
The expo is always a highlight for me, more so than Comic Cons, because of the shared passion for TTRPG's and board games. I enjoyed discussing our products with many people, gathering valuable feedback to improve our offerings. It was also great to see excitement around our new paint organization products.
On Sunday morning, I had some time to explore, make connections, and pick up a few items, including new paint shades and a book for Lucifer. I also discussed the possibility of stocking SHIVER with Parable Games (Coming very soon!).
The event wrapped up at 4pm on Sunday, and despite the exhaustion, I managed to pack up and leave by just after 7pm, ready for the drive back to Scotland.
